In-Woods-Expo 2015 Huge Success
ATPA sponsored its acclaimed In-Woods-Expo on June 18-20, 2015 on a sustainably-managed forest site owned and managed by Weyerhaeuser near Hot Springs, Arkansas.
This outdoor, dynamic show drew some 3,500 attendees from across the region, and was helped in success with the significant help of co-sponsor Hatton-Brown Publishers, Inc., publishers of such magazines as Timber Harvesting, Southern Loggin’ Times, and Wood Bioenergy, among others.
This Expo featured a number of live demonstrations, exhibits, and included logger training on-site, school tours and our ongoing Chainsaw Woodcarving Exhibit, courtesy of Artistry in Wood— all geared toward an in-woods setting.
Feedback from exhibitors indicate this show was a success, not only in terms of demonstrating some of the latest in equipment, technology, attachments, machinery, supplies and services, but also in building client contact in a region where timber harvesting plays a key role in local, state and even national economies.
In the next several months, the Expo team will be assessing this show for best practices and lessons learned. Stay tuned for more information here on In-Woods-Expo, as well as ATPA’s complementary South West Forest Products Expo, also held in Hot Springs.
